Time for the big reveal! We have been working on a few secret projects these past two years and this is one pretty big one out of the lot.
The Battle of Pelennor Fields is the largest battle that took place in the War of the Ring. Fans of the books and fans of the movies might remember some of the iconic moments that took place during the battle. The victory achieved here is what stopped Sauron’s reign from spreading across Middle-Earth and it took the combined efforts of Gondor, Rohan and other forces to make it happen.
This diorama was made with the intention of being as close of a faithful recreation of that spectacle as possible.
Here’s a little insight from Navin about how it came to be and the effort it took to bring this scene to life:
It took the combined skill set of crafting, miniature assembly, miniature painting and 3D printing to make this work. Almost every hand in the studio had a part to play and it has been an absolute pleasure to build this and to be able to show it off.
We’re also pleased that Buddmin Amaradiwakara from News 1st also stopped by to televise the diorama to Sri Lankans around the country:
All of the miniatures in the diorama are painted in Exhibition Quality. The whole set piece has approximately 1,500 miniatures to adorn it.
