As you can imagine, because of 3D printing, we can do a lot more than just print and paint miniatures. We can do collectibles. We have from time to time (one day we'll tell you about the Asian princesses we did from creating 3D designs onwards)...
However, even though we print and paint, we don't do anime-style painting every day. This is because it is a different skill set for those figures. Anime collectors are looking for a different look. Traditional war game miniature painting is meant to make things look realistic. That look doesn’t look like something out of a manga, or an anime.
As such, we always put that out there as a cautionary note when people come to us for anime collectibles.
Here we painted a Sylphiette from Mushoku Tensei. There were some minor corrections, but besides that, it came together quite well, and the client was pretty pleased.
If you have 3D files for a collectible, I know a painting studio that can print and paint it for you :) .
