AT-43… 40K? Necrons Painted Like Therians, A Sci-Fi Mashup That Works

While painting these Necrons we couldn’t help but notice they looked like the Therians from AT-43:

AT-43 was a prepainted game (remember that craze?) by Rackham, a company now sadly closed. Their Therians were the killer robots trying to take over the universe. So, onbrand for Necrons too.

These were painted to Exhibition, Showcase, and Standard Quality.

40k: We Painted Brass and Deep Purple Custodes with NMM Blue Blades

The most happy surprises we get with color schemes seems to be with Adeptus Custodes. We’re typically asked to do custom schemes for them — and the clients keep picking bangers.

I quitc liked this scheme. The brass and purple worked well together, and the blue added to the cool tones of the palette. We 3d printed the bases.
