About Battletech:

BattleTech is a tabletop wargame that simulates combat between giant robots called "BattleMechs." The game was first published in the 1980s by FASA Corporation - with, shall we say, GREAT INSPIRATION drawn from Harmony Gold's Macross/Robotech?

All the new, high-detail hotness for Battletech now is coming from Catalyst Game Labs.

In BattleTech, players control a lance of BattleMechs and engage in combat with their opponents' lances. Each player has a certain number of points to spend on their lance, which they can use to purchase different types of BattleMechs, vehicles, and other support units.

BattleTech is known for its complex gameplay, deep lore, and for getting FASA sued by Harmony Gold. The game has a large and dedicated fan base and has inspired a number of spin-off games and other media. I look forward to Battletech for years to come.

Painting Warriors Of Chaos for Warhammer the Old World

I quite like how these ones came out. They’re part of a nice big lot of both Warriors of Chaos and Beastmen Brayherds. It was nice to see how well the older sculpts (especially the Chaos Warriors) match up against the newer minis like the resculpted Marauders.

Beastmen slap. The sculpts look as good today as they did 25 years ago. It was fun to do a bunch of these; been a while since we did a bunch of Beastmen, for the Warhammer the Old World or otherwise.

Painting Exhibition Quality Seraphon for - Warhammer Age Of Sigmar

Some Seraphon reinforcements we just did for a client. I love these because the color schemes are so bright outlandish. It comes from us trying to match, with traditional painting, the contrast paint brightness of the reference images.

I like how the Raptadons are the most normal-looking minis in this lot, rather than the opposite.

Dungeons & Dragons - We Painted Up Some Monsters!

We painted up some Dungeons and Dragons minis for a GM. I liked the models; the Tiamat was smaller than the Reaper Bones version I’m used to, but I feel quite nice. I also liked the dracolich.

What I found special was the Silver Dragon. It’s small and unassuming — but it is very hard to paint a convincing Silver Dragon. I feel the painter nailed it.

The Most Bizarre ‘Kingdom Death Monster’ We’ve Painted

Kingdom Death Monster. We see Kingdom Death all the time in the studio. The figures are better, the designs more bold.

What stands out about this lot, though, are the color schemes. They’re outside of what we would normally be asked to do. My particular favorite here is the Dragon King.

The range and style of the Vampire figures available for the Soulblight Gravelords faction is great. They all feel like they were hand-drawn and painted with watercolors in a children’s book fantasy book. The kind you’d read (as a child) over the holidays, while its cold outside.
