Traveller RPG: Painting a Giant 3D Printed Beowulf

We had the good fortune to be picked to paint this 3D printed Beowulf for the old Traveller RPG.

The seamlines are because we have to dry fit everything. It will ship home in components as its too large to ship in one box!

Necromunda: Hive Secundus; Spyres, Van Saars, and Malstrain Genestealers

I’ve often wondered why no one in the Imperium had experimented with Tyranids. They are perfect “perfect weapon” trope. Perhaps there was some fluff reason against it?

No. It was just that no one had got around to it yet. Hive Secondus is a nice little look into genestealer experimentation, a wrecked and abandoned hive, and fun figures like the Spyres - and a caryatid!

Bringing the GW's Classic Dreadfleet to Fully-Painted Life

In the late 2000s, naval fantasy wargaming went through a little rebirth. Everyone who had been wishing they could play Man-O-War again, found Uncharted Seas. It was a great game with great minis. No one contested them; least of all GW.

Then, GW put out Dreadfleet.

14 years on, and the sculpts look as good today as they did when the game first came out. I was hoping it was a tester for a new, naval wargame. The next Man-O-War. Sadly, that never happened.

40k: Painting Forgeworld Imperial Knights with Weathering

Did us some big, heavy, Forgeworld Knights! Business as usual, except these guys needed some weathering. We found two effects worked best with them. Rust streaks, and paint chips. Being such different styles, I feel they worked well when put together.

The process was straightforward:

- The client sent us his files to print, for his personal use

- we printed them, on his behalf

We printed the minis for about 10% the cost of the painting. These were printed on stronger, ABS-like resin.

If you send us your files we can print-and-paint Trench Crusade for you, on your behalf, for your personal use.

(We can’t use any files we already have, sorry. Those belong to other clients.. We don’t have any rights to them, commercial or otherwise.)

We estimate the cost.

2 - You send us the 3d files.
We print them for your personal use.

3 - We paint them and send them to you.

We recommend MyMiniFactory. You can also try Cults3d and Yeggi.

Tariffs? What Tariffs?

Short Answer: We’re Not Impacted.

Long answer follows! 

US Customs and Border Protection does not bother with anything valued under $800*:

This is the “De Minimus” exemption. Basically, its not worth their time bothering with it.

Nothing we ship is valued anywhere near $800. In fact, we normally value our shipments at $20-$25 per box. Yes. Yes.


* Now, on April 2nd, the De Minimis exemption was cut for China and Hong Kong:

However, there's nothing to suggest Sri Lanka will also lose De Minimis. I feel if so, we'd have lost it on the same day, or on Liberation Day. 

So, we have no plans to raise any rates.

It’s not clear what the future may bring but honestly, Sri Lanka is the smallest of small potatoes in this trade war. Like a stormtrooper with a bad helmet radio, we go unnoticed.
